Questions

What's in the Free plan?

3 on-demand audits a month, forever - the full score, all four dimensions including the AI-Readiness grade. Get a clear view of your stack without a card. Shared reports include AwesomeTechStack branding.

What counts as an audit, and how is it different from a monitored site?

An audit is one on-demand analysis of one URL - technologies, versions, quality and AI-readiness. A monitored site is one you hand to Stack Watch to re-audit automatically and track for changes. Free runs audits but watches 0 sites; monitoring starts at Starter. Scheduled re-scans don't count against your audits.

How often are watched sites re-scanned?

Every paid plan re-scans watched sites daily. Free watches no sites, so it has no cadence.

Do unused audits roll over?

No. Your audit allowance resets each month - unused audits don't carry over. If you need more in a busy month, add to your audit budget under Billing: extra audits cost your plan's own per-audit rate, and we never bill anything automatically - you only spend what you've added.

What does certificate tracking do?

We watch the TLS certificate of your watched sites and warn you before it expires - so you have time to investigate and renew it. Continuous tracking requires a watched site and starts on Starter. One-off audits also inspect the TLS certificate.

What is the AI-Readiness grade?

An A-F grade for how ready a site is for AI agents and crawlers - llms.txt, agent access rules, structured data, readable-without-JS and more. It's graded on every audit, on every plan, and counts as the fourth dimension of the score (methodology 2026.08).

When do white-label reports and portfolio digests unlock?

Studio. White-label reports take our branding off client reports today, and the portfolio dashboard is live - every watched site with its score and what changed, under Stack Watch. Scheduled client digests are still to come. All three are built for agencies running many sites at once.

What is risk radar?

On Pro and up, risk radar sorts the advisories on your watched stack by real-world urgency - known-exploited and high-severity vulnerabilities are surfaced first, so you fix what matters before the rest.

Can I audit a single page, not just the home page?

Yes. Every URL including its path is its own audit target - hand us example.com/pricing and the report covers exactly that page, with its own technologies and score. One report covers one URL, so a second page is a second audit.

Is API access a separate plan?

No. The REST API and the MCP server are included on every paid plan from Starter up (a CI action is on the way). API and MCP runs draw from the same monthly audits as on-demand ones - and beyond the cap, from the same audit budget. There's no separate API plan.

Do you support MCP for AI agents?

Yes. The audit is exposed as an MCP server (POST /api/v2/mcp), authenticated with an API key, so coding agents can score a stack, diff audits, list vulnerabilities and read the AI-Readiness grade on their own. Included on every paid plan from Starter up.

How do upgrades and payment work?

Plans are monthly and run through Stripe. Pick a plan and you're taken to Stripe's hosted checkout; afterwards billing, invoices and payment methods live in the Stripe customer portal, reachable from your account.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes. Upgrades, downgrades and cancellation are all managed in the Stripe customer portal, linked from your account - the portal shows exactly when each change takes effect.

How do alerts reach me?

The event feed in Stack Watch shows new vulnerabilities, end-of-life technologies, version drift and score moves on your watched sites, and a webhook fires as soon as a re-audit completes, so your own systems can pick up the result.
